The function of human resources naturally falls into a cross-collaboration role. Human resources must partner with various parts of the business to appropriately support these areas and help them meet their workforce management needs. For example, operations may not have the right staff with adequate internal knowledge at the right time to accomplish a given project. The HR solution could be to identify what type of staff operations may be looking for, and then identify talent internally or externally that could fill this role or work a mini assignment for a brief period.
Your task this week is to prepare a white paper. As director of Human Resources for a global organization, assume you will meet with each business head to determine workforce management issues. Determine the workforce management issues each core business function may have, and then devise one to two possible solutions to mitigate those issues. The core business functions you must evaluate for this report are Executive Management, Finance and Accounting, Marketing and Sales, Research and Development, Operations, and Information Technology (IT).
Support your assignment with at least five scholarly or professional resources. In addition to these specified resources, other appropriate scholarly resources, including seminal articles, may be included.
Length: 5-7 pages, not including title and reference pages
